Recipe for honey jalapeno hot sauce
Ingredients
7 Green Jalapenos
6 Red Jalapenos
4 Garlic cloves (large)
⅛ cup onion
½ cup honey
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
Steps
1 - Ferment peppers and garlic in salt water brine for 7 days
2 - Add ⅛ cup of the brine and all ingredients to a blender and blend all ingredients until smooth
3 - Bottle
Notes
The sauce will come out sweet and spicy, you can add an extra sour bite by adding more vinegar. Maybe ½ cup instead of ¼. This will also produce a thinner sauce. You can also optionally strain the sauce through fine mesh if you prefer a more homogeneous sauce without specs of seeds throughout the sauce.
